Our Melbourne bridal store is based in Hallam a south eastern suburb of Melbourne in Victoria. We are just 7 minutes from Dandenong,10 minutes from Cranbourne, 15 minutes from Berwick and 25 minutes from Pakenham. Our Princes Hwy location makes us easy to find and there is parking right out the front.
We carry an impressive collection of lace bridal gowns in Melbourne. With many different designs on hand for you to try on in your size, If you are a size 16 or more, we will NEVER hold a size six gown up in front of you and ask you to imagine what it will look like in your size. We believe you should NEVER EVER buy a bridal gown you haven't tried on. This way, you can be confident that the wedding gown is suitable for you and know what you are getting. Avoid disappointment closer to your wedding day when the order comes in your size, and the style hasn't translated to your figure shape and doesn't suit you. There are many different silhouettes, styles, and sizes in-store to try on, ranging from size 6 to 34. Yes, our bridal showroom has the entire range of Plus Size Perfection wedding dresses sizes 16 to 34, and The only Melbourne bridal shop stocking the entire Leah S Designs bridal collection sizes 6 to size 18.
We recommend you make an appointment before visiting our Melbourne bridal boutique. Walk-ins are welcome, but a stylist may not be available to assist you in trying on. We will endeavor to organize the next available appointment with one of our consultants so you can enjoy the total experience. We also recommend bringing no more than 2-3 people with you on a Saturday. If there are more, we can organize a time throughout the week. Remember, too many people with different opinions can make the process very confusing for the bride, and she may lose her natural instinct and sense of style and possibly choose a bridal gown that one of your guests thinks you should wear. The hour-long consult will give you plenty of time to try on different dresses in your size there are many silhouettes to choose from in our Melbourne bridal shop. There is always time to retry your favorites on again and try accessories to compliment your look. You may like to come back another time and retry as sometimes it can be overwhelming. But remember, if you have fallen in love with one of our discounted or stock bridal gowns, it may not be there if you leave it too long.
In most instances, yes. Lacework is usually labor-intensive and possibly hand-sewn, especially if it features bead-work. The average price of lace styles in our Melbourne showroom in 2022 ranges between $899 for a train less style to $3,500 for an elaborate ballgown design.You don't need to wait for a sale we have discounted gowns all year round. Because we design and manufacture ready-made wedding dresses, our gowns are very reasonable priced year-round. On a tight budget, we always have samples and end-of-run gowns, and sometimes up to 50% off the original price. However, these are non-order, so it's first in best dressed. We sample our gowns in all sizes, not just a size six. In fact, up to a size 32 in store. Size 10 Size 16 and size 22 are our most popular sizes.
The standard lead time for your lace order in Melbourne 2022 at LSD is between 4 to five months. Your gown will be made in the closest size to your measurements and adjusted 5 to 6 weeks before the event. Don't stress when we design our collections. Each size can be taken down two sizes if need be, and we keep one size in the side seams so the gown can be perfectly sculpted to your body shape just before the big day to achieve the ultimate fit. You are welcome to use our in-house alteration dressmakers or your own choice of alteration service. Sale gowns cannot be ordered and are not available in a full-size range. You can purchase sale styles off the rack if you fall in love with one.
A lay-by is available for all full-price wedding gowns bridal lay-by is four months with a 30% deposit. Lay-by for Deb or informal designs without a train is three months with a 30 % deposit. Bridesmaid's dresses need to be fully paid for at the time of ordering.
Yes, a skilled dressmaker will be able to alter your lace gown. However, it will be more expensive to adjust than a plain satin gown, so factor this into your bridal budget when shopping. An elaborate hemline is a stunning feature but will also cost more to alter, especially if the lacework has entwined beadwork. You may be one of the lucky ones born a standard stock size and not need any alterations. However, most of us aren't perfectly proportioned. Usually some adjustment is needed, possibly in at the bust and out at the hip or vice versa. Hemlines may need taking up. You will need to bring the shoes you will be wearing on the day so the dressmaker can ascertain the perfect length for your gown. All this fine-tuning takes place 4 to 6 weeks before the wedding and is an additional cost quoted before alterations start.

A lace wedding gown can be more expensive than a satin gown however if you are on a budget consider a train-less style and add a long lace veil for your train detail. This is one way of sticking to your budget but achieving the lux look of a train.
