When we first met Morgan she was excited but extremely nervous for her big day. After hearing her heartwarming story of how she met her future husband we couldn’t resist re-telling. Let’s give you a sneak peak inside their magical garden weddings.
The proposal
It was a warm summer night in Melbourne and Morgan had made plans to go to her friends birthday party. After being a little apprehensive about going she finally convinced herself to go. When she arrived at the bar she sat with her friend for a while and then headed to the bar for a drink. Upon her return she noticed her soon to be fiance, Tom was sitting in her seat. Not wanting to make Tom move she sat in the seat opposite him. Tom couldn’t keep his eyes off Morgan, offering to walk her home at the end of the night. Their instant attraction soon turned into a beautiful romance.
Five years into their relationship, Tom decided it was time to pop the question and proposed to Morgan at the very bar where they first met.
Garden weddings suited the bride and groom
Morgan and Tom’s wedding was one of those weddings you wish you could experience over and over again. The setting Royal Botanical Gardens in Melbourne, transporting guests to a magical land of luscious green trees and relaxing sounds of singing birds.
Morgan always dreamed of having a beautiful garden wedding and the Botanical Gardens was the first place the couple thought of. Remembering the romantic walk home through the gardens after the first night they met.
The wedding dress.
Morgan looked absolutely stunning as she walked down the aisle in our modern Rosebud lace back wedding dress. The Rosebud dress is the perfect fit for a casual wedding just like Morgan and Tom’s garden weddings.
When Morgan visited Leah S designs she was looking for a wedding dress that was minimal yet classy that was also easy to move around in. Our team of stylists suggested the Rosebud Dress due to its simple design and unique stretch satin underlining that molds to your unique body shape, making it easier to mingle with your guests and have a boogie on the dance floor.
“When I saw the girls bring out the dress I feel instantly in love!” – Morgan
After the ceremony, family and friends were treated to a relaxing gondola ride and cocktails by the lake. This was followed by a candlelit outdoor reception located near the cactus garden.
Morgan and Tom’s garden wedding has definitely been a highlight in the Leah S designs calendar. We are so happy we got to share their special day with you.
