How to accessorize wedding dresses with colour.
At Leah S Designs we have many wedding dresses in store. Because not everyone wants to or can wear white. We have put together a styled bridal shoot to help. Sometimes blush ore champagne is a far more flattering colour depending on the tone of your skin. Choosing a colour that compliments will liven up your skin tone and not leave you looking tired and drained. We have featured the Katherine gown in this styled shoot. The greatest compliment to this gown was the garden setting. Using the colours or nature to highlight the off the shoulder bridal gown. The pop of red used is a trick of the old masters to make their paintings more interesting.It works in photos too.Tying the out doors to the indoors using floral table features featuring soft earthy coloured roses with the same pop of colour. Some times its the little attention to detail that will carry a theme through the entire day and your wedding photos.
Bridal bouquets
A traditional tear drop shape bridal bouquet was chosen for this styled shoot. Complimenting the traditional look off the shoulder wedding dress and the sweetheart neckline. Using Latte and champagne coloured roses and just a few soft pink roses for femininity and once again the pop of red.
What length veil to wear with a traditional wedding dress.
This is a frequently asked question that there really is no defined answer too.Choose a veil that doesn’t overwhelm your gown and suits your personality. Most importantly if you are wearing a coloured wedding dress make sure your veil is a matching colour. For example a blush wedding dress should have a blush coloured veil. An Ivory bridal gown you would choose an ivory veil It is recommended that you take your gown when choosing a wedding veil so you can check the tone of the tulle is right. We have chosen a cathedral length long veil for this shoot.

Wedding jewellery to compliment a coloured wedding dress.
Do you wear gold or do you wear silver with your gown. Well the choice is yours there is no rule in this regard.Your wedding jewellery doesn’t have to match your engagement ring. In today’s photo shoot the bridal earrings featured are the Leah S Designs gold wedding earrings with pearl drops.
Consider adding a bridal hair comb to your hair after you have taken out your long veil. An excellent choice of bridal comb to compliment your crystal and pearl wedding dress earrings would be the Eden wedding hair comb.
What a fun shoot this was! Marina our real size model wore our Katherine wedding dress in Latte / Ivory with lace off the shoulder straps. I suggested we look for a size 16 model, for a little diversity and every one involved couldn’t agree more. Donna and I tried to find a size 18 model, strangely we were unable to find any one suitable. Finally we couldn’t go past Marina from Bella Management who is a stunning real size model at a size 14. Plus size gowns are also available in the Katherine style.
