Dandenong Weddings: in the shadows of the misty mountains you’ll find Lyrebird Falls.

Home to one of Victoria’s favorite Dandenong weddings venues, we were lucky enough to be asked to work with Dewinta from Dewinta Dandot Photography. After arriving at Lyrebird Falls I did a quick location scout, I was sure the cool colors of the rain forest really made our dresses and the floral arrangements really pop!This styled shoot featuring on easy weddings.comPhotographer Dewinta Dandot was looking to create a colorful bohemian vibe for the day. To help bring this creative vision to life we had our model Melissa wearing the Broome wedding dress. A talented circus artist and fire dancer, who treated us to an amazing performance at the end of the day. Dewinta loved that the “darkness in the forest meets natural light in the chapel, made a perfect location for a Dandenong’s wedding”. We also added some wedding jewellery our Bendigo earrings and bracelet in gold to bring a little twinkle to the earrie location.

Tam at Florium Creations arranged the bouquets like a work of art! I love how detailed she made the design with the addition of feathers at the end of the ribbon ties. Tam said; “I wanted the flowers to stay with the bohemian theme. Tam used bright colours with a mix of dark and rich autumnal tones to ensure the flowers stood out in the photos.” It is important to Tam that she uses seasonal blooms that have been locally grown, as she loves supporting local businesses (and so do I!).

Our second style of the day…

Featuring the Eildon lace wedding dress worn by model, stylist, personal shopper and make up artist Sharan. A  V-neck gown with a plunging back is finished with an all over floral lace pattern. Lets add sparkle to Sharan’s boho wedding look, with our infinity earrings to tie in with the bohemian vibe. We then paired this look with an extravagant floral crown and bridal sash. To assemble the flower crowns Tam says; “It’s a lengthy process as they are very fiddly to make. Taping and wiring flowers ensure longevity. It definitely pays off to do it properly. Try keeping these beautiful flower crowns as wedding memento. Creating an original art piece in your home. I met with talented graphic designer Samone Shepherdson. She designs the most gorgeous wedding invites. Specialising in wedding stationary, branding and art she uses pencil and paintbrush to create a styled look that guests will truly remember. I love how she matched these invites to match the bouquet that Melissa held on the day.
