Hi! I’m Leah—the designer, dreamer, and creative behind Leah S Designs. I’m absolutely obsessed with all things bridal: designing stunning gowns, working with fabrics, capturing beauty through photography, and even geeking out over web design. You’ll usually find me in-store on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays, helping brides find the dress—you know, the one that makes their hearts skip a beat.

Leah S Designs started way back in 2001 in Pakenham, Victoria.
It was just me, a love for bridal fashion, and a big dream. From there, I moved the business to Lonsdale Street in Dandenong, and by 2011, we found our forever home at 3/167 Princes Hwy, Hallam. It’s been quite the adventure, and I wouldn’t trade a single moment of it.

Everyone Asks Me:

Where did you study fashion?

I grew up in fashion, so my education started on the production floor I could sew before i could even spell the word “fashion.” From pattern making to fabrics, I soaked it all up like a sponge. I call it the “real school of fashion.” And while I didn’t formally study design, I’ve always dreamed of doing a business degree—it’s something I’d highly recommend to anyone thinking about starting their own label.

How do you break into the fashion industry?

A Little Pep Talk

This industry will test you, no doubt about it. But if you’re willing to hustle, dream big, and stay true to yourself, it’ll also reward you in ways you can’t imagine. Find what keeps you motivated, trust your gut, and don’t be afraid to go for it.

First visit, first dress…. success! I found my perfect dress and veil on the very first visit. The team was absolutely incredible—supportive, energetic, and patient throughout the entire process. Highly recommend Leah S for any occasion. We went in for a deb dress try-on with my daughter, who isn’t very confident with her body image, and Lyn made her feel so comfortable and at ease. She truly made the experience fun and special for her. The shop is stunning and all the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Such a beautiful experience from start to finish.
A huge shout out to the team at Leah S Designs for having so many different designs for us plus size gals. LSD was the 2nd shop I looked at and instantly felt at ease. Lyn was so lovely and caring and overall helpful in giving me a range of different styles to try so that we could find what I liked vs what I didn’t feel comfortable in. From there she told took my measurements down so that I didn’t have to venture over there again if I decided to buy the dress. And she told me to have a think about it. I did and the next day I locked it in! I loved that there was no hard sell or any pressure to buy like other stores I looked at. The ladies at ginger pins were also so lovely and patient and we only needed the initial alteration. (After wearing the dress on the day I probably could have gone a little shorter at the front as it was quite heavy but it looked amazing in photos and that’s what we wanted ) Thank you so much again
